San Marino for the Children ONLUS was founded in 2007 with the mission of supporting the world’s most vulnerable children. The Association began its work in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in Africa. Over the years, we have built the Matola Nursery School, completed in 2012, which today welcomes children from the extremely poor village of Matola, on the outskirts of Balaka. We also established the Zomba Nursery School, which provides early childhood education for the sons and daughters of women incarcerated at Zomba Prison. In addition, we have built the Kankao and Chikala Primary Schools, the “Graziani Graziana” Primary School in Balaka, the Bazale Primary School, the “Graziani Graziana” Primary School in Mponda, and the “Marino and Marzia Forcellini” Secondary School in Balaka. Today, our Association provides access to education for more than 13,000 children attending these schools. Alongside our educational initiatives, we have also developed numerous projects over the years to support vulnerable mothers and orphaned children, helping to improve their lives and create brighter opportunities for their future.
